Welcome!

A meeting of vision in a charmed city....

Last year we celebrated 75 years of excellence in plastic surgery; a milestone for us as surgeons, as well as the industry that supports us. Plastic Surgery 2007 has been designed to continue the tradition of bringing new information to the forefront and to help us integrate our newfound knowledge into practice.

“Change is the law of life.
Those who look only to the past or present
are certain to miss the future.”
– John F. Kennedy

Plastic Surgery 2007 is about change, moving forward, advancements. You’ll hear about it in the sessions and courses you choose, you’ll see it in the products and services at the Exhibit Hall, and be reminded of it throughout the week. Examples include:

  • Exclusive material not available at other national meetings and new to our program: BOTOX® and migraines, rejuvenation of the orbit, treating non-microtia ear deformities, genioplasty, the semibionic man, identifying psychiatric disorders, and more
  • New courses to take your practice to a higher dimension: making a living from reconstructive surgery, utilizing patient consultants for financial efficiency and time management, and nontraditional avenues for increased revenue
  • Something for the entire plastic surgery team: collaborative sessions, CPT® coding, competition in cosmetic surgery, and marketing your practice
  • The Baltimore/Washington area is perfect for addressing plastic surgery’s public policy issues: president's panel on the quality movement, FDA on gel implants, and a special speaker at the PlastyPAC luncheon
  • The latest research findings will be reflected in presentations on The Use of Mesh in Abdominal Wall Reconstruction and The Science of Injectable Fat, and Genital Rejuvenation
  • Keynote Speaker, Bill Taylor, co-author of Mavericks at Work, The Big Boys: Power and Position in American Business, No-Excuses Management, and Going Global, and founder of Fast Company magazine, will convene with a panel of experts on the “practice of innovation”

Plastic Surgery 2007 is the specialty’s most comprehensive meeting and the Exhibit Hall reflects the marketplace available to us. No other meeting has a larger gathering uniting our changing industry.
